Ancestry.com scrapbook products

I just received the entire collection of scrapbook papers and embellishments from Ancestry.com. I can't wait to create some layouts with these beautiful papers.

Wonderful colors, designs, family trees and pedigree charts. Everything coordinates really well. I'm excited!

I find researching genealogy so interesting. I think it will be wonderful to tie my two hobbies together and finally make a beauitful family heritage book.

I'm listing all of these for sale on my website www.scrapshackmaui.com and in my ebay store.

Never give up

In the words of Winston Churchill, never, ever, ever, ever give up! I haven't been able to do a layout a day as planned... but I've come close...

I also went to a card making class that my girlfriend had last week. My friend hosts a Stampin Up night each month - really great get together. I don't always buy something but I get nice ideas and the company is marvelous.

I'll post some pictures here of what has been created so far...

Day 3 of challenge

It's August 3rd and it was the first day of school for the kids. I scrapped really adorable clipboard "back to school" frames for the teachers. I purchased the kit from EK Success.

My oldest just turned 17 yesterday - so I put together a great lay out for her birthday and put it into a wonderful 12x12 shadow box frame! These are wonderful and I got them from DCWV and will list them for sale on my webpage.

I used her senior portrait pictures. I think this will be a nice gift for her grandmother.

If I keep it up, I may be able to make all of my Christmas presents this year... pre-made scrapbooks, cards, frames...

I also was thinking of stopping by Kinkos to have them put pictures onto fabric for me.

Happy Scrapping!

A layout a day!

It's August and time for back to school! My oldest is visiting college campuses and my youngest is getting ready for 1st grade! I'm trying to preserve the memories with Die Cut With A View (DCWV) school stacks - they come in grade school or high school. I'm selling these papers and embellishments in my online store - www.scrapshackmaui.com...stop by and check it out.

I have so many pictures, so many ideas, and not enough time. With our wedding 10 years ago, three children, birthdays, countless vacations and special moments to preserve by the time I finally get to one it is hard to remember all of the ideas I had for it. So be sure to take good notes - post its are wonderful. Sketch out an idea, rip a page out of a mag of something you like and keep it with the materials for that project just in case you don't get to it for awhile.

I know I have multiple projects going on at a time... I want to do some speed scrapping and get some done before the holidays.

My challenge for the month of August: I want to do a lay out a day this month and see how much I get done!

Wish me luck.
